Clonee United U12B Team Finally Returned To Grass

It was a lovely morning for football as Clonee United U12B team finally returned to grass and produced a strong performance to secure a 6–2 win away to Liffeybank.

Clonee started brightly and raced into an early lead when Kyle finished well inside the box. Samuel added the second shortly after, before goalkeeper Oskar made a brilliant save to deny Liffeybank from the penalty spot and keep the momentum with Clonee.

Mohammed made it three before Samuel grabbed his second just before half-time to give Clonee a strong lead at the break.

Clonee started the second half quickly with Amin getting an early goal. To their credit, Liffeybank showed great heart and pulled two goals back, putting Clonee under pressure for much of the second half. However, Amin finished the scoring late on with his second goal to seal a 6–2 victory.

The lads played some really good football throughout, using the width well when attacking. It was great to see the boys putting the work they’ve been doing in training into the match.
