🟡🔵 U15 Premier Girls – match report
Home Farm 0 – 2 Clonee Utd. ⚽️⚽️
Clonee United Under 15 Premier girls kept up their winning streak with a great 0-2 win away at Home Farm.
The girls were excellent today, playing great football throughout, but lacked that clinical finish that could have made the victory a little more comfortable.
After a raft of chances missed and good saves from the Home Farm GK Clonee finally took the lead on the stroke of half time when, after some nice tight passing, Zoe Musake was played through on goal and she made no mistake with the finish, placing her shot down low to the keepers left and into the back of the net.
Clonee wingers Sarah O’Neill and Erin McLoughlin were a constant threat down either side and really ran the Home Farm full backs ragged throughout the whole game.
In the second half it was more of the same.
Constant Clonee possession but again lacking that clinical edge in front of goal.
Clonee central midfielder Amie Harmon had a few great long range second half efforts saved by the keeper.
With 5 mins to go and against the run of play Home Farm looked like they were about to spoil the party only for some excellent defending by Captain Orlaith Maguire and her central defence partner Abby Slattery.
The victory was sealed right at full time when after a long through ball was chased by the impressive again Amie Harman, the Clonee midfielder harassed the Home Farm centre back and the ball ricocheted into the bottom corner.
Full time and 0-2 win away from home for the Clonee girls who stay at the top of the premier table.

AUL 3A Seniors Celtic United V Clonee United

23rd April 2023

Celtic Utd 6
Clonee Utd 1
A tough game as Clonee played with 10 men for most of the first half. Player coach Ken Ash playing in goal. As a spirited half ended 2v1 with Sean Zambra grabbing a lovely lobbed goal.
The second half Clonee had 11. However with Celtic constantly switching the play left to right all game. Did the trick on tiring out Clonee who let in 4 second half goals to close out the game 6v1. Well done to celtic Utd.

Match Report U15 Prem Girls Newbridge 0-4 Clonee Utd

2nd April 2023

On a weekend when most matches fell foul to the Irish weather, our under 15 girls were lucky to get a game in, away to Newbridge on their Astro.
Our girls played some great football the whole game, penning Newbridge in their own half at times.
The constant pressure was awarded midway through the first half when Amie Harman finished a nice attacking move to put Clonee 0-1 up.
Newbridge broke through just after and their striker rifled a shot that was bound for the top corner only for a superb save from Clonee keeper Grainne Farrell, tipping it onto the bar.
Playing some lovely controlling football, Clonee seen out the half and went into the break with a deserved 0-1 lead.
Second half seen our girls in complete control, often not letting the opposition out of their own half.
The second goal came via some nice one touch football between Emily Callinan, Molly Laverty & Sadhbh Pitt and the ball was squared to Amie Harman, who was in the perfect position to slot home.
Clonee gained further control with the third goal, a lovely finish from Erin McLoughlin over the keepers head.
Amie Harman topped off her player of the match performance, and hat trick, with a fantastic long range central strike straight into the bottom corner.
Altogether a very impressive game from the girls and great preparation for their upcoming Cup Final at the start of May
